Last week, Wednesday, I had the occasion to sample a plate of sashimi at my favourite Japanese Restaurant, Tomii, in Shizuoka City after accompanying Melinda Joe at Aoshima Brewery in Fujieda City during her Japan Times interview.

I see some delicious Uni there. My favorite! I think I could eat it everyday, but here in the States it is difficult to find sometimes and it does not always taste fresh. One of my travel goals is to visit Japan and eat EVERYTHING in sight!

Uni can be off-putting if it is not fresh. I love the fresh product but anything not perfectly fresh will make me cringe!
